Brain Tumor resection

June 2007 - Prof. Didier Martin removes a tumor from the brain of a patient at the Belgian University Hospital of Liege. Brain tumor resection under neuronavigation and intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging. The tumor is located in the right frontal lobe. It induces mood modifications and left hemiparesis. The resection is performed with an ultrasonic aspirator and is guided by a high-precision neuronavigation device. The quality of the resection is controlled by the acquisition of intraoperative magnetic resonance images. ©Jean-Michel Clajot
